What is Niagara Adventure Boot Camp for Women?

A four-week outdoor program of fitness instruction, nutritional counseling and motivational training. You will be inspired and have fun while participating in a fantastic workout led by Certified Adventure Boot Camp Coach and Director, Veronica Charrois. Each day, camp will be 60 minutes in length.  Start times and location vary throughout the year.

What if I'm not very physically fit?

NOBODY will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. Nor will anybody go home unchallenged! Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Each day will slightly increase in intensity. You will inspire and be inspired by others.

Where is the location we will meet?

The Niagara Adventure Boot Camp has different locations and times throughout the year. This is meant for your convenience. Our 5:30 a.m. session is based at the Grimsby Tennis Club during our outdoor season, but has some scheduled park workouts throughout the 4 week session.  Our Weekly Evening Program is based at different parks in Grimsby (dependent on time of year for best outdoor conditions).  The Location will be announced before the start of the session.  If weather is not favourable your instructor will email you before your workout letting you know if class is cancelled.   We will arrange a makeup date at the end of our 4 week session.  You may also make up your workout during one of our other times if space is available (and you have scheduled the make up prior to attending).

What types of exercises are included in the program?

Exercises include: Core conditioning, short distance running (less than one mile), muscular strength, jumping rope, circuit training, hiking, sport drills, obstacle courses, games, surprises, and more!

How often will we meet?

Participants will meet 3 days a week for our AM program or 1 evening a week for our PM program.  Refer to our schedule for workout dates. All participants will be expected to arrive on time.

Adventure Boot CampWhen does the next Niagara Adventure Boot Camp session start?

See our annual calendar.

What do I need to bring?

You will need to bring an exercise mat, small hand weights (8-12 lbs.), water bottle, running shoes, and a sense of adventure. You can purchase hand weights at any (Walmart, Canadian Tire, or Superstore).

What can I achieve from camp?

Your body will become more fit and toned, and you will gain more confidence by making a dramatic improvement in your physical well-being. The camp program includes exercises designed to firm your butt and thighs, flatten your stomach, reduce body fat and increase stamina. By losing fat and gaining muscle, you'll lose inches and gain strength while looking and feeling better. Also, you'll meet great people who share in the same vision of striving to reach their goals for a healthier mind and body. At your first boot camp you’ll receive a FREE nutrition seminar and Adventure Boot Camp t-shirt. And as the mega successful and inspirational celebrity trainer of The Biggest Loser, Jillian Michaels says, “it is your responsibility to demand the best from yourself and to feel worthy of living any life you can dream up – just be willing to work for it because nothing worth having comes for free!” Invest in yourself in 2017!

Why should I participate?

Because if you put minimal effort into your life, you will get back minimal results! You will make a dramatic improvement in your physical, mental and emotional well-being. And you will be finished with your training before the rest of the world has even gotten started!

What is the cost (investment in myself)?

Each four-week boot camp has a registration fee of $240 for 12 sessions. That's $17.70 (plus hst) per session.  Where else can you get premiere or cutting edge fitness instruction for that incredible price? Personal trainers can typically charge $60 to $100 per hour for their services - this is a great opportunity to receive motivating fitness instruction by a certified personal trainer for just a fraction of the cost.
